Our Work
Building spaces, programs, and possibilities for children who need more than the mainstream can offer.

Our Approach
At Spectroom Charitable Trust, we believe play can be powerful. It is at the heart of everything we do. It’s how children express themselves, build relationships, and grow in ways that feel natural and safe. Every moment of play is a chance for connection, communication, and confidence to flourish.
That’s why we don’t just run programs, we design spaces. Our sensory rooms are carefully crafted to bring this approach to life, where neurodiverse children can engage on their own terms. By building these spaces in schools and communities, we aim to make inclusive, play-centred support more accessible to everyone.
It’s not about kids fitting into the space, it’s about the space fitting them
Our Services
From hands-on support for families to big-picture change, our services are built to make a difference where it counts, and with the people who matter most.
Sensory Room Design & Pop-Ups
We create customized sensory rooms for schools and organizations focused on inclusion. Whether permanent or temporary, each space helps to decompress and recharge. A highlight was co-creating the sensory room at Eden Park with Access Community Health, proving sensory support belongs everywhere.
Intensive Play Coaching
Our one-on-one sessions are all about helping children grow through fun and purposeful play. Our Play Coaches and Occupational Therapists plan tailored sessions for each child’s unique needs that help with building confidence, strengthening communication, or supporting emotional wellbeing. It is a safe and supportive space where connection comes first and every small step is celebrated.

No two autistic children are the same.
So why would we offer one-size-fits-all support?

Who we’re here for
Spectroom Charitable Trust exists to support autistic children, children with disabilities, and the families who care for them. Many of the families we serve face limited access to inclusive spaces, long waitlists for diagnosis or support, and the emotional weight of navigating a system that often overlooks their needs.
We aim to remove barriers, create safe environments, and offer programs that bring relief, connection, and joy. Whether it’s through play, practical support, or simply being a place where families feel seen and understood, we are here to walk alongside them every step of the way.
